SSI Data Vault - Serialization Data Warehouse
The core component of the ESC™ System is the serialization data warehouse, known as the Serialization Data Vault. The database serves as a central repository for a manufacturer's serialized codes and associated events. Serial numbers flow into the serialization database from the packaging line Print & Verify modules. The database is then connected to the rest of the supply chain via the EPCglobal network and custom add-on modules. These integrations with the supply chain are provided and secured by certified third-party integrators.
The Data Vault provides for a highly secure, high availability, readily scaleable, real-time, very large database (VLDB) capable of processing billions of transactions and seamlessly providing highly sensitive and private information to multiple different entities while maintaining data integrity and a consistent global context.
