Under the stringent demands and regulations of the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry, Secure has perfected the EPC Track & Trace System over the last four years via real world testing and packaging line implementation. The Secure Solution was developed in conjuction with Cardinal Health PTS, now Catalent Pharma Solutions, a Blackstone Group Company, the pharmaceutical industries largest contract packager .

Due to the similarities of all manufacturing, packaging, shipping processes and the strategic design features of the Secure Track & Trace System, being able to garauntee the origination and pedigree of your food products has never been easier.

SSI's patented ESC Track & Trace System is the complete turn-key solution that is designed to function at existing production line speeds, while accommodating all packaging types and sizes. From printing on cartons and labels, to supporting all conventional or custom packaging requirements, inclusive of bottles or cans, round and square, crates and bags.

SSI has constructed a series of modular models for both Track & Trace and aggregation. These servo driven models are integrated with software that instantly recognizes and adjusts for different combinations of models, thus making it a key and very practical design feature, which allows instant replacement and upgrade of modules, when needing to convert to a different packaging or labeling application. Converting from inkjet to laser, for instance.

SSI's complete turnkey systems are further designed to insert RFID chips at each level, if and when the technology evolves to a practical point.

Going one level further, SSI has developed a full methodology for aggregation and de-aggregation of unit packages, into cartons, crates and palettes. After encoding primary containers, a parent/child relationship is created and recreated as the product takes its normal course through the supply chain, providing electronic pedigree unit-level track & trace functionality, from its origin through to its final destination. Furthermore, SSI's aggregation equipment can attach an RFID chip at the case and pallet level today.
