October 9 th , 2007 – Wayne, NJ – A homegrown New Jersey company is earning accolades for its anti-counterfeiting technology that safeguards the pedigree of pharmaceuticals everywhere. Secure Symbology (www.securesymbology.com), a Wayne, NJ based company has been chosen as an Honored Finalist as Emerging Business of the Year by NJBiz Magazine. The company is being recognized for its vision to wipe out counterfeit drugs worldwide .

Founded in 2003, Secure Symbology is also currently helping manufacturers meet the state of California's January 1, 2009 deadline that will require all pharmaceutical manufacturers to guarantee the pedigree of their products entering the state. Having successfully addressed the sophisticated and high-speed packaging systems used by the pharmaceutical industry, Secure Symbology is in the process of expanding its reach to include the automotive, aeronautical, and food manufacturers, in addition to luxury brands and consumer product manufactures with their ever-increasing product counterfeiting problems. Counterfeiting worldwide is a $500 billion to trillion dollar a year problem that is growing about 20% each year. Secure Symbology is also developing systems utilizing its unique technology to assist Homeland Security in the tracking of shipping containers.
